We might be putting another video on youtube

Probably a while away but it will be a segment from the Laura Show called "Pickle Talk" and I think you know what this is Leonnie. I trust there will be no objections since it is just our voices. Paul wanted to put up the Aye Robot segment but I saved you from that so don't worry. I know how you wouldn't want your (this sounds weird) moving face on the internet. That's all for now.

Paul Has At Last Joined Me!

I at long last convinced Paul to come over to Poker.com and now I get the $25 bonus! He sat for a long time trying to come up with a username - badbeatbud? No. He almost choose imjusthere4thedeer. But at last found his username of Bud1000!

Laura D's Opinions on Various Disney Movies 2

The Aristocats - It seems to me this movie was made specifically for ME to watch. It has all the things I think are cool - Jazz, cats, incredibly rich posh people, butlers, crazy lawyers, painting, etc. "Scat cat" was obviously supposed to Louis Armstrong and that just makes it even better!
I like everything about this movie especially the "Everybody Wants To Be A Cat" song because it's true....well for me anyway.
I remember a line from the kitten Marie when she is fighting with her brothers and she says "Ladies don't start fights but they can finish them". I remember saying this to Paul a lot when we were children! Thomas O'Malley and all those swinging cats are the coolest of all the characters.
I give this movie 9/10.

Oh and look! Here's a random photo!

Yesterday

Leonnie came over yesterday (first time this year I think). We all ate chips with rolls! Then played Cluedo DVD version and this time the inspector told us that one of US had done it! Unlike last time when Paul misread a note from the inspector. Turns out it was Leonnie! (Lady Lavender). During play Leonnie said she felt like she was hunched over because we were sitting on the floor so Paul proceeded to call her Quasimodo and I think she almost spat out her juice. You know a joke has gone down well with Leonnie if she spits out her juice or looks like she has fallen asleep.

This is us playing Cluedo.

Laura D's Opinions on Various Disney Movies

The Lion King - Very good movie. I like every single character in this movie except for Nala, yes that's right Simba's little annoying friend who grows up then goes finds him and takes him away from Hakuna Matata. What's Hakuna Matata, I hear you say? Well it means no worries! For the rest of your days, etc.
Scar is quite obviously the best one in it. I believe it is not fair how even though his brother was king he was supposed to live in this horrible little dark cave. Scar after many years was waiting to be King! And just because his brother decided to have a cub he now does not ever get to be king. This is very unfair in my eyes and I understand why he killed Mufasa and I am upset that he didn't get that little Simba guy too!
I have much more to say on this but I am going on it seems. This movie gets 8/10. (I would've given it 10/10 if Scar got to be king)

I'll come back later and write more opinions on other Disney movies.
Let me know if you agree with me on any of these.

I've been interviewed!

Joe Blog's Blog, what an apt name to have.

Oh and where it asks about the wishes - it shouldn't say "goal in" it should say "go all in".

That's all for just now, I'll post more later cos I'm on tilt right now. Just got knocked out of a tournament. I went all in with king high straight on the turn, guy called then his two pair rivered into a full house! An 8% chance! I need to go cool off before I play again.

Norman Chad and the Five of Spades

Paul and I just got that WSOP Tournament of Champions game for the PC. We attempted to play it for a while but realized we might have to play the whole game just to hear Lon and Norm so we decided to exit the game and go straight to the audio files to hear them. We clicked one and it was indeed Lon. We clicked another and it was Norm saying "The five of spades" in a regular sort of way. We clicked another and it was Norm again saying "The five of spades" but this time in a happy manner. We clicked the next and it was Norm saying "The five of spades" in a very sad way. And man I couldn't stop laughing at the sad one! It's hilarious!

So here for you is the three sounds CLICK

That sad five of spades is hilarious!

Poker Update

Not talked about poker in a while so I'll do it now.
  • Paul and I (since we share a computer) have decided to come up with a timetable and we can book for instance I want to play from 4-6pm. That way we can get maximum poker time. There is also a rule that if a person is in a real good game you have to let them cut into your time....I was the first to excercise this rule today and Paul hasn't been able to play any poker at all yet. Just goes to show you that Howard Lederer and Annie Duke aren't the only brother/sister poker players out there!
  • Earlier I was in a cash game (10-25) and had 19.98, I was going to play out my free hands then leave, Paul says to me "You should leave now" I tell him I'm playing out my free hands first. I get dealt QQ, and another on the flop, guy goes all in so I call and he catches a flush, so I'm down to 12 and then I leave. Then Paul keeps going on about the "I told you you should have left when you were at 19.98!" Which is very annoying. You want to know why? Read on....
  • I was in a tournament and Paul was still beside me going on about it. So I tell him to be quiet cos I'm trying to concentrate. He then proceeds to call me Phil (Hellmuth). I am very annoyed now because I'm already losing in the tournament and he is making it worse. Paul then leaves for a while. While he is gone I go up about 3000 chips. He comes back with a little drawing in his hand. I look at this little drawing and it seems to be a drawing of me as a steam train. I tell him to be quiet because he is making me steam! He then goes on to makes choo choo noises! Needless to say I lose this tournament. This one goes to show you that you shouldn't let your brother watch you play poker! (And by the way, I always leave Paul alone when he plays poker and I certainly don't draw him! As a "steam" train or otherwise! I shall get my revenge soon......

A Couple of Things

  1. I was entertained once again last night by Bud re-enacting a whole episode of the Simpsons. This episode was the one where they get a pool. I enjoyed the part where all of Bart's friends are there and Marge asks if he knows all these people, Bart says "Friends and relatives" then an unknown character says "Hello Mrs Cumberdale". But I especially liked the part where Milhouse is trying to go to the pool but he is signing Barts leg cast and ends up writing Milpool, the reason I like this part is that even though Bud wears glasses he insists on putting his hands in circles over his eyes like he is wearing glasses. I give this episode 5 stars! Unfotrunately there is no more re-enacting of Simpsons episodes but I think he is hinting at re-enacting Forrest Gump!
  2. Exactly 1 year ago Leonnie and I had a fencing match. I think it is about time for another match. So I formally invite Geoffery to my mansion on the day that he wishes to fence with the also very rich Jeffrey. Jeeves will be at the door to greet you and hand you your sword.

It was 2am and I was so tired......

I was entertained last night by Bud acting out a whole episode of The Simpsons. Might I add in here that I was out all day and I was exhausted, maybe that's what made it funny.

It was the episode where Lisa helps Mr Burns get rich again by recycling and he invents the Lil Lisa Slurry. Bud acted out this whole episode and I was laughing my head off! I especially liked the part where Lisa is disgusted about the slurry and Mr Burns says "100% reeeee-cycled animals!". Then there was another good part where Bart says "I'll do it this afternooooon". I also found it hilarious when Mr Burns asked Krusty "Can you tell me where the Burns O's are?" I found this re-enactment of the Simpsons episode hilarious, I give it 5 stars.

I look forward to tonights episode, Bud has given me a preview - (Flanders voice) "Put you away! Put you away for good!"

Story

I watched Reservoir Dogs last night, haven't seen that movie in ages and forgot how good it was. I remember when I was about 4 years old, it was just me and Dad in the house, it was about 10am and Dad put Reservoir Dogs video on for us to watch and yes I know I was only 4 and I think that movie might be an 18, but who knows. Anyhow, it got to the part where Mr Blonde was alone in the warehouse with an unconcious Mr Orange and the tied up cop - Mr Blonde starts to pour gasoline on the cop and I turn to my Dad and I am so confused, I ask him, "What is Mr Blonde pouring on that guy?" He says, "It's gasoline, so that he is easier to light on fire." I remember nodding my head and thinking ah that makes sense.

A weird story for you but a true one! Maybe it explains somewhat why I always seem to think the bad guys in the movies are better than the good guys....maybe not.

Hello There People

Just watched the Harry Connick Jr DVD, the New York Big Band Concert. And man, I am in awe. Wow. That's all I can say. If you like Harry Connick then I order you to go buy it right now...I may not have the authority to order you to do anything but I am doing it none the less! Buy it! It's just amazing! I am completely in awe. I have "We Are In Love" stuck in my head right now, which is very nice to have a song you actually like going around in your head.

For now while I go think about the incredibly cool Harry Connick you all can look at this photo.
