The High Latitude Trembles! ....it certainly does....?

If anyone can give me a better translation of the title of that show (高纬度战栗), please do! hehe

This is a show I started watching a while back and is very cool. I still haven't seen the final episode yet. But I hope to watch it very soon! :D

And if anyone can tell me the name of the guy who appears in these titles at time 1.46, please do that too! You will be my favourite person of the day, I promise!

Drawings!

Here are some little things I drew today while I was using my brush and ink :D

Ofcourse the panda is for Bill O'Reilly since I know he has trouble figuring out what it is. (And for people who don't get that; you should watch his appearance on The Daily Show!)

51st Regiment

51st Regiment is the new show I've been watching weeknights on Phoenix TV. I know I'm addicted to a show when it gets to the weekend and I start thinking "damn, I have to wait 2 whole days to see another episode!"

Anyway, I found out today that there was an old movie called 51st Regiment. A lot of it seems to be the same as the new show I'm watching. Here's my very cool example of how it's similar...

And now, for your enjoyment...or possibly just mine, is the opening titles to "51st Regiment".

The Cafferty File

My first time writing to the Cafferty File on CNN's Situation Room and mines gets read out! yay! I feel very honored because I know there are people who leave comments for Jack Cafferty every day on all 3 of his questions and still never get any read out.

My 3 stages of laughter after fear

There is a caravan in my garden (not mine). So Paul and I went out to take photos in it. While we were there, there was a huge loud noise! I had no idea what it was!
And now I show you my 3 stages of laughter after being scared by an unknown noise...

New DVD's to watch!

In March, I ordered "The Brothers" DVD box set from dang dang. Guess what? It arrived today! I used to watch this show on Phoenix TV when I first started learning Mandarin, so I didn't understand much of it but now I can re-watch and understand it! It was a damn good show when I couldn't understand it so imagine how entertaining it'll be now that I can!

Anyway, here's the DVD
And here's the dang dang box it came in, if that's the kind of thing you're interested in

Rain on The Colbert Report!

First of all I realize I'm one of the few lucky people who knows who Rain (Korean singer and actor) is and watches The Colbert Report.

I just had the pleasure of watching a dance off between Stephen and Rain!
And now I give you the same pleasure...

Challenge

Screw the challenge today, I'm watching Life of Dragon and Tiger!

Poor Xie Lin...I can't be the only one who feels bad for him...

More on the challenge!

I checked with Bud about the rules again and apparently if I email Jack Cafferty and get something read out on CNN that counts for 1. So every night I will be leaving Jack Cafferty a comment on his blog and be watching the Situation Room to see if it's read out.

Secondly I have somewhat of a problem now.....I know 3 people that will almost definitely reply if I message them on their myspace. Doesn't seem like a problem but it is! Everyone who knows me knows I'm against myspace for the simple reason that it's the worst layout of any webpage I've ever seen. So now I have to decide whether or not to get a myspace page......what's more important....the challenge....or my ethics? hmm....

Ahh, it's fun making a big deal out of nothing

I have been set a challenge!!

Yes, I do respond to challenges....as proven by Thursday's "I bet you can't fit through that hole in the fence" by Paul.....
(click for bigger, clearer photo)
I win

But that isn't the bet today! This is...

The pic pretty much explains it but just incase -
  1. I will email as many famous people as I can
  2. I will wait for their reply
  3. Only once they reply does it count
  4. If it's an automated reply it DOES NOT COUNT!
  5. If I get 15 people to reply personally, Bud must buy the ingredients and make me a meal from my Henry Hill Wiseguy Cookbook

And I will be updating THIS BLOG! RIGHT HERE! Every day of my challenge and possibly more than once a day I'll be on here stating who I emailed plus if they replied and what they replied with.

If anyone wants a piece of this action you are welcome...

I have a question that needs an answer!!!

Do any of you know the name of the guy in the middle? The guy in the beige kinda colour jacket. I've seen him in like 3 different tv shows and I can't figure out his name....I've looked everywhere on the internet that I can and I still can't come up with his name. This is very frustrating. Someone help me out here...you know you want to.

I know that's Wang Zhifei on the right of the picture...try to ignore him for a second if you can. Look past him if you will. Who's that other dude?!

Nanny's Birthday Party Photos

My cousin Leonnie and I ordering dessert

Ice cream!

Nan's Birthday cake

My cousin Gavin. I dared him to keep ice cubes (from the glass of cubes) in his cheeks until they melted. He seemed to be in a lot of discomfort but he did it! Nice. The power I have over children.

Something I found hilarious

On the CNN website there is a poll, "How do you feel about the US election campaign so far?"
The answers you can choose from are: Excited, Interested, Apathetic, etc
What is winning at the moment you say? Well I'll tell you. With 1837 votes the winner is.....

"Depressed, annoyed and despairing for the future of the planet"

I don't know why but I find that hilarious!

Maybe it's something to do with the fact that those people are annoyed, depressed AND despairing yet they still care enough to go to the CNN website and vote in their poll. Very comical.

Top 5!

Top 5 underrated people (not in any particular order)
  1. Richard Quest (CNN)
  2. Joel de la Fuente (actor)
  3. John Munch (yes, that's right, the character! SVU writers, give him more lines!)
  4. That little fairy liquid baby, but for underrated for a good reason! He is annoying! Someone hurry up and colour him in already!
  5. I'm gonna push 3 people into one spot here and say Bud & Crew

New picture!

Note to Leonnie: For the secret Nanny present go to my Flickr HERE, I update that more often than the blog.

Xmas and New Year!

XMAS
Graphic! Because graphics are fun.

(My main presents, click to zoom in)

NEW YEAR
I was wondering about New Years Resolutions and I'm pretty sure I don't have one. I mean, I could say like my new years resolution is to read Chinese (see graphic) but if I am going to do that anyway, so isn't that a cop out? Shouldn't it be something that's really hard for you to do? And If I'm going to do it anyway, I don't think it counts! It doesn't count if you say "I am going to eat every day for my resolution" because you're going to do that anyway! So I figure I'd rather have no resolution than a cop out resolution.

Thank you for your attention.
